Frequently Asked Questions

We know starting therapy can come with a lot of questions. Below are answers to some of the most common questions about our services, therapists, scheduling, and what to expect at TCCFR.

What services do you offer? We provide therapy services for couples, families, individuals, children, and adolescents. Our licensed therapists support clients navigating relationship concerns, communication challenges, parenting support, premarital counseling, infidelity, divorce and separation transitions, anxiety, depression, and more.

How do I know which therapist is right for me or my family? We are happy to help match you with a therapist based on your needs, preferences, and availability. During your initial consultation, we will ask a few questions to better understand what you are looking for and help guide you toward the best fit.

Are your therapists licensed? Yes. Our team includes licensed Marriage and Family Therapists, Licensed Professional Counselors, Licensed Clinical Social Workers, and associate clinicians working under licensed supervision. We also have advanced interns within our practice who offer sliding scale and, in some cases, free services.

How long is each session? Most therapy sessions are 50 minutes in length. Longer sessions, typically 75 to 90 minutes, may also be available upon request, especially for couples or family therapy.

Do you offer virtual therapy? Yes. We offer both in-person and secure virtual therapy sessions to meet your needs and preferences. Virtual appointments are available for clients located in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Florida.

How often will we meet? Most clients begin with weekly sessions. Over time, session frequency may be adjusted based on your goals, needs, and progress in therapy.

What insurance plans do you accept? We are in network with Blue Cross Blue Shield, UnitedHealthcare, Cigna, and Aetna.

What can I expect in my first session? Your first session is an opportunity to get to know your therapist and begin discussing what brings you to therapy. Your therapist will ask about your background, current concerns, and goals, and will begin working with you to create a plan that feels supportive and personalized.

Do you verify insurance benefits? Yes. As a courtesy, we offer insurance benefit verification for prospective clients to help make the process of getting started feel easier and more straightforward.

Do you work with children and teens? Yes. We have therapists who specialize in working with children and adolescents. We also collaborate closely with parents and caregivers to support healthy communication, emotional development, and family relationships.

What is your cancellation policy? We require at least 48 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling requests. Late cancellations and missed appointments may incur the full session fee. Additional details can be found in our rates section.

How do I get started? Getting started is simple. You can contact us through our website, call our office, or request a free phone consultation. Our team will help guide you through the next steps and connect you with the support that best fits your needs.
